#PokemonGO: Attention all Raticate enthusiasts! I, like many others, have enjoyed building an army of Raticates with Bite/Hyper Beam to be used as (semi-)effective gym trainers, but those days are gone.As of the latest move rebalancing, Quick Attack is now better than Bite in every aspect.* As you can see on TheSilphRoad's own global Pokédex, for Raticate, Quick Attack not only has higher DPS (thanks to STAB), but it also charges energy significantly faster, allowing for even more rat-tastic Hyper Beam action!*Note:ThisappliestoRaticateinparticular,ashebenefitsfromSTABforQuickAttack.Otherwise,BitedoeshavehigherDPS.I discovered this while mass-evolving some Rattata, as I was about to transfer a Raticate with this very moveset. I hesitated, and decided to check TSR to see what the recent balance update had changed—and I was pleasantly surprised. Sure, my army of Bite/Hyper Beam rats are now sub-optimal, but now I can look forward to amassing an even more powerful army!After a quick search I realized this had not been posted here before.
