"Fixing the "nest atlas"?! A nest ranking system?"

#PokemonGO: Hi long time reader but this is my first post.Been wondering about the nest atlas and how it's probably one of the best tools for people to legitimately completing their regional dex.I've read the post from a few months ago about how much work went in to make it, how you got screwed over when making it.Now I don't know the structure of your organization and how many people actively work for the silph road and this might seem completely insensitive but I feel like the nest atlas is still not complete.I definitely feel like there should be some kind of manual so that people know how to register their findings.Like what constitutes a nest (believe it's an area with 25% chance of spawning nest mons) and if a "frequent spawn point" is the same as a spawn point with a rare mon in its biome.For now if I see someone reported a nest of Charmanders don't know if it will be worth it to take half an hour on my way home just hoping it's a proper nest and not a singe spawn with like 1/15 chance of spawning a charmander.My suggestion is that instead of letting someone report what type of nest it is, but instead let storm report the number of nestmons that spawn during a certain period of time and number of spawnpoints that spawned these mons. From that you could create system of ranking different nest so that looking at the nest atlas you know the probability of receiving a specific mon from each reported nest.Examples: Player A stays at a spawn point for 2 hours and finds a rare mon as far as player A knows this could be a nest with one spawn point and reports it to the nest atlas.Player B stays at a cluster of 4 spawn points and stays here for 2 hours. During that time he sees 4 rare mons each one from a different spawn point.If we believe that both places are nest then player B will receive 4 times the mons as player A and therefore nest B should have a ranking 4 times effective as new A.Sorry if it's hard to follow but this would really allow players to find the best nest for each mon within their area.That's all from me keep up all the good work it's really cool you do this for free. via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2n10pn6
