"[PSA] iOS Users Experiencing Near-Constant Crashes..."

#PokemonGO: I believe I've found a fix!** TL/DR: Some players have experienced unending crashes. Most seem to be isolated to Apple Hardware/Software. Disrobe of all your new vanity items. This has drastically reduced my crashes and even when the game does crash, it will restart in one go. Prior, it would take 3-10 attempts to restart. **If you're like me, I'm a sucker for vanity items. As soon as they dropped, I adorned myself in a very overpriced Top Hat. It was a symbol of my determination as a F2P trainer.Well, all was fine and dandy until the recent (2 weeks ago?) "patch" that came out to stabilize the game. This patch actually made the game almost unplayable.I waited patiently for the forums to erupt in hysteria, a solution to be found and order restored on our adventurous hunts. But when that never happened, I was pretty puzzled. I'm a dedicated player, and have experienced a rage I've not had (playing since day 1). Almost everything would crash my game, especially these things;• Clicking on my buddy to check the journal, medals, etc.• Clicking on a gym I was already in. If I survived that, viewing my character in the gym would certainly crash the game. • Hatching an egg • Incubating an egg • Leaving the app • Receiving push notifications • Gen2 Pokemon spawning • Encountering my Pokemon during a gym battle (Prestige) • Spinning random Pokestops • Passing gas or inhaling too deadly • Thinking positive thoughtsAnd more...I began to pick up on the trending crashes and also noticed that other Trainers wearing new gear in gyms would load much slower than the rest. Which flicked a switch in my old brain... "What if it's the clothes?" I thought. So, I stripped my Toon back to basics and what do you know?! My game has only crashed maybe 12 times throughout the entire day as opposed to maybe 4-5x that.I was beginning to not even bother restarting the app. As a dedicated player who loves this community and the game, I was seriously bummin' out.So, even though I can't wear my obnoxious hat and 3D glasses, I'm excited to have a more stable experience and hope this helps a few of you!If anyone else has noticed anything similar, or can narrow it down to specific items, please share.I'd like to get as many of us to report this to Niantic in-game if my solution isn't limited to me, for some reason haha.Happy Hunting, Travelers! Game on.(I'd be interested in seeing if iOS users who haven't been plagued by constant crashes, could actually initiate them buy wasting spending 800 coins on a Top Hat or the 3D Glasses, for science) via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2mVHQ5h
