"[Question] Would Wobbuffet be a good defender ?"

#PokemonGO: Hello everyone ! As the saying go, long time lurker, first time poster here !I recently caught a Wobbuffet, and I noticed it had a huge amount of HP (256, max being 380, the second best of the game behind Blissey and in front of Snorlax) despite its very low CP (664, for a max of 1024).His biggest counter seems to be Gengar, which isn't very common where I live, since the meta-game is still being dominated by Dragonites, Vaporeons and Gyaradoses.I also recently saw a post with Shuckle being kind of useful, even if as a joke, because of its insanely high Defense.Don'tfucklewiththeshukleandallthat.Now, I'm no statistician or proper researcher, but could a Wobbuffet be used as a "Surprise Defender", with the intent of maybe timing out an ill-prepared opponent, somewhat like a Blissey ?Or would its low CP actually be detrimental to a gym being leveled up and defended ?(Not that it matters, since I'm team Instinct and no yellow gym ever gets leveled higher than 3 before going back to a Level 10 Mystic here.)Basically, my question boils down to :Is Wobbuffet just a fun quirk, or could a defensive-strategy involving him be actually usable ?I hope my question is interesting enough to spark some ideas and discussions :D If not, sorry for the time I took away from you ! via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2mS83SW
