"[Request For (More) Evidence] Theory: Walking with a buddy that requires an evolution item increases your chance of finding that particular evolution item"

#PokemonGO: I saw this post earlier from user Oxone_PkMnTrnr that seems not to be getting much attention, but after commenting and setting out to test it myself, I found significant evidence in short order that I think warrants a call for more widespread testing.See here: http://ift.tt/2mQgqMu reference, I've found 26 different evolution items since Gen 2 launched, though only 2 Dragon Scales before this, my third. All but this item were found while walking buddies that do not evolve with evolution items. This is my first ever time buddying a Pokemon from the Horsea family. The Pokemon was my buddy for approximately two hours (and only 1.1KM walked). I received this Dragon Scale on exactly my 11th Pokestop spun after changing to Seadra as my buddy.I'm well aware that this is not, by any means, PROOF of this theory. I think, however, that it is a pretty convincing piece of evidence.Try it yourself and report back!EDIT: It's unfortunate that so many people want to down-vote because the absence of proof apparently means the answer is always RNG. Proof is absent until it is found. The theory is not that one will obtain the exact item they want exactly when they want it by buddying a specific Pokemon. It is instead that one MIGHT experience an increased drop rate of the item they seek by buddying the Pokemon that requires it. That may still mean you will not find what you seek, but it MAY mean you'll have a better shot. The theory itself is almost impossible to prove outright, but additional testing and evidence could be extremely helpful. Why not give it a shot? via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2mzVBDT
