"[Story] Proud Ponyta/Rapidash owner"

#PokemonGO: I have been walking my buddy, Ponyta (chosen because it was my first pokémon card I got when I was a little girl), for almost 3 months now. It was the only Ponyta I've ever seen spawn since catching her and I really wanted to evolve her, obvi. Recently, I actually caught a 2nd Ponyta, giving me enough candies to evolve her. I was torn between which one to evolve since the new one had a higher cp, but I spent so much time with my original Ponyta and walking her. However, since the release of Gen II, I got super into pogo and even made this reddit account to follow this subreddit to learn new stuff. Everyone kept talking about IVs and how they are actually more important than cp. I had absolutely no clue what an IV was, so I searched it and I found out that 100% IV for pokémon is kinda rare. After calculating my buddy's IV, I found out she has a perfect IV, the first IV I ever even calculated! I kept recalculating just to make sure it was correct.
