"[Discussion] About fraudolent behaviours - Playing against your team"
#PokemonGO: I'm writing here because I cannot play in my city anymore. I cannot play in my city since october I guess, and that's why: I live near a relatively small city (50k inhabitants) with 8-10 gyms. I played from the very first day since the hype was high, so I decided to enstablish a community for the blue team players from my area. Unfortunately, although many people joined from all over the region, people from the city center preferred to make their own private group of 10-15 players and ignoring other players.Since october, everything went normal, gym just kept going up and down, changing team almost in a round robin fashion. Then, one of the players in my city joined the group telling us that he made a deal with the yellow team so that the teams could evenly split the gyms and no one would ever attacked an enemy team anymore (and keep them at lv10). Their official excuse is that "in this way enemy bots cannot play anymore".I simply find it disgusting and unfair toward all the other players: they took control over every jim in a radius of 25Km, but the gyms in the city center are "untouchable" so that if someone attacks a gym, the enemy team got warned and sends a player (often even a bot) to fix the issue. The problem is that they are keeping other (honest) players from playing in the city, forcing them to move to other cities for enoying the game as it is intended. I tried to just take down some enemy gyms with people coming from outside, but it's impossible since we are too few and our pokemons are not strong enough (since we cannot hold any gym) and if we manage to take a gym down it lasts for 30minutes at most. We tried to talk to them, highlighting the fact that it's not fair to break the game in an entire city and forcing the other players to move 20Km in order to find a free gym spot, they answer that they are just keeping bots away (?) and we should move more.I also saw things like "don't attack that gym, I have friends in the other team and I want them to stay there". The problem is that people from the country or from outer cities doesn't care about this situation so basically everyone is doing what they are asking, while for many people the only hope to have a pokemon in a gym is to place it while they are in the city center.I just wonder what Niantic could think about that behaviour, and if there's something we can do against it, since only 10-20 people are freezing an entire city and the other players just gave up with the game since they couldn't do anything against this kind of deal that only advantaged few players.Have you ever experienced a situation like that? Or is it just typical of a land where the way of thinking is intrinsecally criminal/mafia?TL;DR: The majority of players from my city made a deal with the enemies for splitting the gyms among themselves and to not attack the enemy gyms anymore, also they guard the gyms using bots. Other players are too few or weak to do something about that. via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2pv8nrV
