"Foreshadowing on Exeggutor Island (prediction, but uses SM story spoilers)"

When the player and Lillie are looking for the Sun or Moon Flute - whichever wasn't from Gladion, depending on the version - Hapu mentions that the Flutes were located at a lake on Ula'ula Island (presumably the Lake of the Sunne or Moone) and on Exeggutor Island, but she wasn't sure why one was on Exeggutor Island of all places except that it had been passed down for some time that it was there. This was a totally minor line, but I thought it was interesting that Game Freak specifically said she wasn't sure why when I doubt most players would have questioned it if they weren't told (willing suspension of disbelief and all - I might have thought it was a little weird, but I don't think I'd give it much of a second thought). And that got me to actually consider why it might have been there...Well, before Lusamine got it for herself, we know from Hapu that one Flute was supposed to be located at the Lake of the Sunne (relating to Solgaleo) in Moon, or at the Lake of the Moone (relating to Lunala) in Sun. They're also meant to be played at the Altar of the Moone (relating to Lunala) in Moon, or at the Altar of the Sunne (relating to Solgaleo) in Sun. So we already cover both Solgaleo and Lunala regardless of version - it's no wonder that the third relevant location was arbitrary... right? The third Legendary Pokémon in Solgaleo and Lunala's trio is most likely Necrozma (a third Psychic-type Legendary with prime-numbered stats, a renamed preexisting Ability that is now immune to Mold Breaker and such, an unclear-but-suggested connection with the Ultra Beasts, learns Morning Sun and Moonlight... you get the idea). We already know this much. And many fans have observed that Necrozma, viewed from the side, resembles the head - only the head - of a disembodied dragon, seemingly decapitated.So... It's nothing new to be thinking that Necrozma will get a Dragon-type alternate Forme; it's certainly the most popular idea of what it will get, if anything. But if that does happen, I think Game Freak has placed some even sneakier foreshadowing than we thought... After all, Exeggutor Island, the location of one of the two Legendary Flutes for what is openly acknowledged to be an ambiguous reason at best, is shaped like and named after a form of a Psychic-type Pokémon that has become Dragon-type - or, if you'd prefer, a Dragon-type (Alolan Exeggutor) that evolves from a Psychic-type (Exeggcute) - and is considered its "true" form by Alolans. It's totally possible that this is all a coincidence, but if Necrozma IS given a Dragon-type alternate Forme, I would be willing to bet that this was not a random placement and was a conscious attempt at foreshadowing! via /r/pokemon http://ift.tt/2rcj6or
