"[THEORY] TRAINERS will not be able to defend multiple gyms with more than a fixed numbers of mon of same species."

#PokemonGO: I've read the APK mine by TSR (http://ift.tt/2qZE36e) and the banter in this forum. It seems like everyone has gravitated to the theory that the variable MAXSAMEPOKEMONATFORT points to a limit of the number of mons at a gym, perhaps by species or by type, that may be placed at a single gym, to deter Blissey towers and other gym abuse.I contend that it makes more sense that the variable applies to trainers, not the gyms themselves. Specifically, a trainer may not defend more than X number of gyms (perhaps 1, 2, 5 or 10, who knows) with the same species. This would accomplish several things:1) increase gym diversity.2) limit the power of early adopters who farmed Dratini nests when they existed3) limit the power of spoofers with multiple perfect high IV Tyranitars, Dragonites or Blisseys4) limit the power of users with access to Twitter or Discord tracking feedsOnly time will tell, but I think my theory of the gym rework accomplishes these goals more so than the current prevailing thought. via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2rnn2mp
