"What Is Going On With Battery Life, Any Tips?"

#PokemonGO: I have played this game since day one. It has always drained the battery faster than any other application I have ever had. But the last three weeks have taken a nose dive. I went to the zoo yesterday with 80% battery and my iPhone 6 was dead within 40 minutes! I was even playing on the lowest brightness in battery saver mode. That is insane. Is anyone else experiencing a dramatic decrease in battery life the last little bit? Is it normal to die this quickly?Does anyone have tips? I'm not talking about turn down your brightness or the obvious things that help. I'm more wondering if my app needs to be reinstalled or if there is something abnormal about my game that I can fix.
