"Gym Badges"

#PokemonGO: As of now, every place I go to, I try and catch a Pokemon and then keep it regardless of level. This way I have a record of where I have been with Pokemon. Now I was thinking on how this could be improved.How about if every city/town had its own "gym". If I remember correctly, in the first season of the anime, Gary Oak had like 10 gym badges, while Ash only managed to get 8, and those 8 were the ones in the gameboy games. The gym itself would work similar to the gameboy games/anime where you need to go to this gym and fight the gym leader, maybe a few of their lackeys before fighting the gym leader. Once you beat the gym leader, you get a gym badge, maybe a reward of coins/item, or even candies for each Pokemon in the team you used to fight with.Obviously, to keep it entertaining, if you fight in a "grass" gym, you can't take a team of Charizards, you can only use grass Pokemon. Each gym will level to the trainers level, so a level 40 player has the same difficulty as taking a gym as a level 10 player if they had the same Pokemon.Now, how this could develop, lets say in every country, an indigo plateau league is set up, where you require 8 gym badges to enter. This would co-inside with the release of PvP.What could be cool is down the line, the gyms could be similar to the orange league gyms, where its not a straight battle, but more of mini-games or something like that. via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2rbf8j1
