"[Discussion] Registering new genders should also reward 500xp."
#PokemonGO: TL;DR Registering a new gender of an already caught species to your Pokédex should also reward you with 500 XP.Having a completionist mentality, I've recently come across an interesting conundrum...I can grind five Geodude to Graveler using 125 candies to gain 2500 XP* or I can evolve a male Geodude two times to receive Golem which I have yet to register to my Pokédex. If I were to do the latter, I would only receive 1000 XP but it would still cost me 125 candies. As rare as registering a new Pokémon to the Pokédex becomes, I feel that 500 XP is already a drastically scant reward (which is an entirely different topic), so a simple solution to the aforementioned Geodude conundrum would be to reward an additional 500 XP for registering a new gender. In this scenario, the extra 500 XP tacked onto the original 1000 XP would obviously still be shy of the 2500 XP received in the current "grind" meta, it would at least provide meaningful incentive to register new genders. Not only would it make catching the same species a little more interesting, it would most importantly give genders value which otherwise don't (yet) have any real meaning to the game.I'm sure most trainers on the road have come across a similar situation so I was wondering what everyone's thoughts were on this.*Note: For the sake of this scenario, any XP gains mentioned are calculated without using a Lucky Egg. via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2rUJabO
