"[Discussion] Raids: A Credit system would work better."

#PokemonGO: Problem:Low-Tiered Raids aren't given much attention. This is highly noticeable with the introduction of Tier 5 Raids. When players purchase a Raids pass they look for the most efficient way to spend it. This feels like a problem because it means the lower-tier Raids are dead content outside of the Pokédex grind. Using a Raids pass on a Tier 1 or 2 Raid is generally considered a waste as you aren't getting much bang for your buck. Tier 3 Raids are sometimes attractive as they can be soloed for a decent reward. Tier 4 & 5 Raids are the favourites because you get massive reward for the same cost as lower Raids; they're efficient. Solution:Use a Credits system, not a Pass system.• Tier 1 Raid: Costs 1 Credit• Tier 2 Raid: Costs 2 Credits• Tier 3 Raid: Costs 3 Credits (etc.) The cost of the Raid is representative of its reward: The better the Raid, the more it costs to participate in. Things to Note:• Instead of a Raid pass, players could be given 5 Raid Credits for free each day. Maximum of 10 Raids Credits stored. • Premium Raids credits would be sold in the Shop similarly to passes. No storage limit. • Credits would be a currency; storing them would not deplete Inventory space. • A "Withdraw" button would exist on the Raids interface so that players can reclaim their Credits if they can't complete the Raid. (This should already exist for Raid passes...) ConclusionThis would encourage players to participate more diversely in Raids; rather than always looking for the most 'efficient' way to spend their single Raids pass. via /r/pokemongo http://ift.tt/2v8Rwy9
