"Go Fest Thank you to Silph Road"

#PokemonGO: I've been a lurker for a while, mostly because you all seem to know much more than I could help contribute to, but I really wanted to thank /u/dronpes and the Silph community for their reactions with my son during Go Fest.He's almost 9 years old, and we love playing Pokémon Go together. He is so positive all the time, and after waiting ~3 hours in line at the Fest, we caught an Unown at the entrance and he yelled "This is the best day ever!!!"There were many things that warranted complaints that day, but he was so happy to be around other PoGo players. Then we left, and my son, my brother in law, and I happened to be where some Silph Road people were also meeting.They were yelling and cheering, giving out prizes, I think, but they looked happy! Then I pointed out dronpes to my son, and he immediately wanted to say hello. My husband is a software developer, so anyone who "mines code" is a superstar to my son. Combine this with Pokémon Go, and meeting dronpes was like meeting a super famous celebrity.So thank you for indulging him, and taking a few moments to speak with the random child that interrupted your photos that day. He had the Instinct shirt with a cartoon of him. As he walked back to us, he said "they said a lot of really nice things, he seems really nice!"There have been many justifiable complaints in other subreddits, but my son came away from this day with a lot of positive moments, and I love that about this community. via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2gXvwk7
