"[Idea]Minigames at Pokestops for more items, like Ingress."
#PokemonGO: In Ingress, there are two ways to hack a portal for items. The first, equivalent to spinning the disc, is just to press the hack button. But holding the button down activates "glyph hacking", a minigame that increases item drops if you win. There are a number of ways this could be implemented in PoGo. My original thought was "Who's That Pokémon?", as a callback to the anime, where you get given a silhouette and have to type in it's name (or select from a menu). But after hearing about lots of people making bad raid choices (Blissey for everything because the game auto-selects it, even though its terrible for raiding) I thought about the Type Matchup Quiz in Sun and Moon's Festival Plaza, and thought that it would work as a good way to educate people who weren't into Pokémon before Go on the type chart. If you press down on the disc instead of spinning it, you will be presented with a picture of a Pokémon, its types, and asked to select of the 18 types one that would be super effective against it. Choosing a correct answer will earn you 50% more items (so 2 more items for a normal spin, 3 more for a 10-stop bonus or daily streak, and 9 more for a weekly streak). If the Pokémon shown has a double weakness and you select that, you get double items instead. The game would have a time limit of 10 seconds to stop people from just looking at a chart, and to make sure they don't stop in one place for too long and, say, hold up traffic. via /r/pokemongo http://ift.tt/2uoawIG
