"Serious question: Has anyone ever successfully clicked on the avatar to view medals/gym badges before clicking on the pokeball?"

#PokemonGO: I haven't.I will often times click on it repeatedly before I remember that they are located elsewhere. I understand the separation and think that it makes sense but I cannot get myself to instinctually click on it. Does anyone else do this too? Is there a better way for the app to be designed?
