"The little girl on Team Instinct who re-started(?) her whole game in frustration today"
#PokemonGO: I went toward San Francisco today in hopes of encountering legendary raids. At one for Lugia, I witnessed a girl in junior high school there with her dad experience highs and lows--the group easily defeated Lugia with almost 30 seconds to spare, but catching it was another matter. She was on Team Instinct, which will always contribute least in any big group because there are simply so many Mystic players, so she got the fewest balls. She quickly ran through all her balls and the monster fled--it's a challenging target. She was trying to save face with the group but her eyes were a little watery, and she just kept saying that she needs to be on Mystic because then everything would be easier. She and her dad were walking away when he was trying to talk her out of uninstalling and restarting the game as blue instead of yellow.I don't know how this story ends, but I'm conflicted. Part of me feels like it's just a fun game in the scheme of things, and learning that and life aren't fair is a worthwhile lesson. On the other hand, for a rural instinct player to have to try so hard to hold gyms, win raids, and meet fellow team members, that's a pretty heavy price to pay for simply preferring the color yellow to blue or red. I don't know. via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2vA09PB
