"This game desperately needs some form of in-game communication"

#PokemonGO: I live in a town with nearly 2 dozen gyms which actively turn over regularly. However, nobody I know who used to play still does, and I don't know any of the active players in my town. With all these gyms comes dozens of raid options per day, but the lack of a way to communicate makes doing them as a solo player nearly impossible. I'll wait 20-30 minutes at each raid for someone else to show up, and I don't know if it's because they go at a different time or just aren't doing the raids but I have yet to do a raid that wasn't just by myself.Solo raids are fine for tier 1 and 2, but that means that it's impossible for players like me to do any tier 3 or 4 raids.Assuming tier 5 raids will be much more challenging than even tier 4, there NEEDS to be an in game communicator to coordinate raids, or else other players like me will have absolutely no chance of completing these raids.A local chat or even just an indicator that someone is waiting to do a raid at a gym would suffice, but the lack of a way to communicate makes these raids unplayable and gives players in groups a horrible advantage over solo players. I love the raid system but it will never be fair until a system like this is implemented.Yes I've tried the local Facebook group but that's inactive and I have not found any discord chat for the town or anything. Communication needs to be enabled in game.Today I saw not one but FOUR simultaneous tier 4 raids in my town including Snorlax and Tyranitar, but when I went to each one, there was nobody else in sight. via /r/pokemongo http://ift.tt/2uz20Ut
