"Unique ways that you play the games?"

Nuzlocke is obviously a pretty well known way to play the game, but do you guys have other ways of making the games more interesting or your own unique ways that you enjoy the game.I'm about to start Red since I bought it last year and haven't even played it! The grey and black of the game reminds me of the olden days and I had an idea, I'm going to play a couple games (Red, X, & ORAS) in succession and each new character will be the son of my previous character. So Red is grandpa, and eventually great grandpa when I get Ultra Sun. This means I'm going to pass down a pokemon from generation to generation through the use of Pokebank. Which ever Pokemon I choose from Red I'll breed in X to get a baby version of that (hopefully I can do that?) And continue to do that for each new game. I'll probably end up passing down a couple different Pokemon through each generation.I just thought it would be cool to have generations spanning multiple games! via /r/pokemon http://ift.tt/2t2grOX
