"[Discussion] I don't understand why these events are location specific."

#PokemonGO: I'm mainly talking about the Pikachu Outbreak event but Safari Zone event is also in the mix. I really don't see why Niantic would choose very specific areas and give people playing there huge advantages over the rest of the world? Especially the pikachu outbreak event seems ridiculous to me. Larvitar, mareep, dratini, chansey, unown, gen 1&2 starters, another regional, shiny pikachu spawning frequently and special raid bosses all happening at the same time. I would be over the moon if I saw the amount of rare Pokemons I see in a screenshot from that event in the span of a month. It really seems like the best event so far and it's happening in the smallest scale possible, which is very confusing to me. What do you think? via /r/pokemongo http://ift.tt/2wUJQwT
