"PTC players boycott buying coins until we can switch to Google accounts"

#PokemonGO: Enough is enough. For well over a year PTC players have had to repeatedly put up with being unable to log into the game due to PTC outages. Players on these accounts have long been disadvantaged by outages during key in-game events and found themselves unable to log in after spending time and money travelling to go out and play the game.All through this time there has been no evidence that anything has been done to resolve the problem. And no evidence that if we continue to behave the way we have in the past that Niantic will do anything about it.If anything is going to change we need to take action to make this a priority issue. As such I am asking all PTC to join me in a boycott of buying any Pokecoins in game until the option to switch to a Google log in is implemented. Until this issue materially impacts the game’s revenue stream we will see no effort made to resolve this issue.I am aware that most players do not read these boards however now with raids we all meet players in our areas we can all through word of mouth pass on to players not on Reddit this planned boycott so that they may join the boycott. Let as many other PoGo players know as much as possible so that we may be able to grow this campaign.To any Google account players out there feel free to join our campaign in support as well, after all with raids this does indirectly affect you now as any raids you may have been close to completing may have been different if PTC players in your area were able to play right now.EDIT (Regarding PTC accounts being Pokemon Companies responsibility not Niantic): Correct Niantic aren’t responsible for PTC servers. BUT they can create the option for people to port their account to Google instead. All they need to do is when you create a new google account have the option “do you wish to transfer from a PTC account pop up.” If you select yes then when you have confirmed your PTC credentials with username and password and it has been checked that the account wasn’t banned/suspended copy all game data from PTC account to new Google account and then close the old PTC game account. via /r/pokemongo http://ift.tt/2vfgjBn
