"Alternate ways to obtaining your first Pokemon in the Pokemon universe"

Aside from the standard choice of three starters, and Yellow where Pikachu is forced upon you, I was hoping for ideas in relation to alternative methods of obtaining a starter Pokemon. Pokemon mystery dungeon kinda has their own spin on things with a personality test determining it. In the Pokemon universe I'm sure many just go out and throw a ball some of the local wildlife - kinda like how Wally did.Any interesting/unique ideas? via /r/pokemon http://ift.tt/2exsL8B
