#PokemonGO: All starts during the water event.I didn't know that shiny Magikarp was released.As every day, I went to work.I parked my car and opened PoGo.A Magikarp appeared and when I clicked on him, he was golden.I know that shiny karp is gold, but I thought my phone messed up the sprites (I had some troubles with sprites a few days before), so I restarted the game after clearing the cache just to be sure.I clicked on him again and he was still golden, I caught him with a Pokeball and I closed the game.After a few hours I realized that shiny Magikarp was released, because here on Reddit I saw someone reporting it.I checked the IV on mine, but he was 0-5-0 (11 IV).I said: "OK, I got a shiny level 1 Magikarp so they're common".Yes, common.Starting from this moment, I caught every single Magikarp and hoping to get another one.I saw my friends getting one, one caught 2 of them in like 10 minutes.It was really frustrating, especially if you live in a water biome where Magikarp is more common than Pidgey.Frustration that grew when I had to fight a level 10 gym full of shiny (5 Magikarp and 5 Gyarados).I've visited every single river and lake in my area, but without any results.I caught every Magikarp when I was in Amsterdam on holidays without finding one.I had a Magikarp spot at the hotel, but it was useless.I spent like 4/5 hours every weekend biking along a river and catching Magikarp, but without luck.I was tempted to evolve my 11 IV one last day but I desisted.All ends on Sunday, when I was near a fountain.I clicked on every Magikarp as I did everytime, the last one was shiny.I use a golden razz and an Ultraball just to be sure.I caught and appraised him.I got an heart attack when I got the best appraisal for team Mystic.I was so excited that I evolved it immediately.That's my 10th Gyarados, but only the 2nd one with Hydropump.Now, my dear ShinyDos, take all my dust and candy.
