"Wii Shop channel to shut down on January 31st, 2019, taking several Wii downloadable only Pokemon games with it"
From Serebii: http://ift.tt/2xIjC2a have announced the end of the Nintendo Wii Shop Channel. Purchasing Wii Points for the Wii Shop Channel will cease on March 27th 2018 and the Wii Shop Channel itself will cease on January 31st 2019. From that point, you'll be no longer able to download various Pokémon games off of the Wii Shop for Nintendo Wii or the backwards compatibility on Wii U. Any you have already purchased will still be available. The games affected are as follows: Pokémon Rumble, My Pokémon Ranch, Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Keep Going! Blazing Adventure Squad (Japan only), Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Let's Go! Stormy Adventure Squad (Japan only), Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Go For It! Light Adventure Squad (Japan only),Virtual Console: Pokémon Snap, Pokémon Puzzle LeagueThis is rather surprising. I'll admit I'm not too happy about the decision. I know the Wii is a really old console at this point but this feels like I'm being cheated in some ways. Going to have to see if I can have everything I bought digitality downloaded onto my Wii... via /r/pokemon http://ift.tt/2x1Hzj9
