"Drop Rates back to "normal" and why I enjoyed the former changes!"
#PokemonGO: First of all, I would like to ask the community to confirm or refute my theory that the drop rates changed recently. (Pokeball drop rates reduced, revive / potion drop rate increased)Regarding the fact that I did not change my playstyle or the the area I play in, my Pokeball stock was reduced by 130 (250 to 120) today, while it usually increased by 100-200 per day since the former changes were made.As follows, I would like to express my personal opinion regarding the increase of the Pokeball drop rate and the reduction of revive / potion drop rate: In short: I loved it! Why?Which advantages did the increased Pokeball drop rate entail?Huge value increase of the Go+, no need to take care of the Pokeball stock. As a bored lvl 39 player I switched to Ingress and enjoyed grinding dust most of the day without the need to take care of my Pokeball stock.I know several rural players without that many Pokestops around and they could enjoy the Halloween Event without the need to sit at those few Pokestops for hours.I also know quite a few players who are not that interested in fighting gyms or raids (only daily raid) and they enjoyed the fact that there was no more need toss away those potions all the time.Which advantages did the decreased revive / potion drop rate entail? In my opinion reducing the revive / potion drop rates was a great way to increase the difficulty of gym fights, at least in terms of necessary resources. I heard of players who started to dodge and micomanage their revive / potion stock again. In times where "Pokemon GO" became a "Pokemon Drive around and Raid"-Version, I enjoyed the fact that walking around (GO) and twist some Pokestops became a necessity again. As I said this is my personal opinion regarding my playstyle and area. Feel free to add your personal opinion and experiences. If the drop rates really changed back to "toss away those potions every 10 minutes", I would personally be sad while I understand that some players may be happy about this.Edit: Increase in spawn points indeed could be an explanation for my "Pokeball loss". via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2hluyvN
