"How every ability could work in PoGo: Mr. Mime-Deoxys (Final List) (Also Cubone Line because I forgot one last time)"

#PokemonGO: If you read my last post at http://ift.tt/2yRvuOI you can skip the intro and go straight to abilities. It's the same as last time. Frequently, when gen 3 is discussed, so are abilities as abilities are integral to the balance of many Pokemon in the gen. But many argue that adding abilities would be way too much as it would require a speed stat, status effects, stat changes, etc. I propose a looser adaptation of every ability. These are my ideas for Pokemon 122-386. This may seem like a huge jump from last time, but a great many abilities repeat. There is also the matter of hidden abilities to attend to. In the core series games, HAs were only obtainable through events, breeding, the Entree Forest, Hidden Grottos, Horde Encounters, or SOS battles. I propose the Pokemon from eggs and Raid Bosses have a 10% chance of having an HA. Additionally, Pokemon from nests could have a small chance of having an HA. This fits with the idea of hordes and specific locations. To work, my ability suggestions would require stat changes. I believe this is entirely possible because Ditto already changes its base Attack and Defense but not Stamina when it enters battle, indicating to me that Niantic is perfectly capable of having Pokemon's base stats temporarily change mid-battle. They would also require Pokemon's moves to change based on external factors (not mid-battle) to have different animation times and or base damage. Lastly, it would require that Pokemon with different abilities have their type effectiveness interactions directly modified.Battle Armor: This Pokemon gains +1 resistance to fighting, normal, and steel.Filter: This Pokemon takes only 20% extra damage from super effective moves instead of 40%.Light Metal: This Pokemon's steel type moves have their animation and energy gain halved.Mold Breaker: The damage of this Pokemon's moves is not affected by abilities that change type interactions.Moxie: Every time this Pokemon gets a KO, its base attack increases by 20% until the end of the battle.Rattled: This Pokemon's moves have their animation times and energy gain halved if it switches in against a bug, ghost, or dark type Pokemon.Forewarn: When this Pokemon enters battle, the opponent's moveset is displayed on the "Battles Won" screen.Volt Absorb: When this Pokemon shares a gym with another electric type, its base HP is increased by 50%.Quick Feet: This Pokemon's energy gain is increased by 15%.Magic Bounce: When an opponent's ability should lower this Pokemon's stats, the effect is completely reflected.Download: If this Pokemon has Hidden Power, it changes upon entering battle to whichever type would do the most damage.Pressure: Damaging this Pokemon yields halved energy gain.Immunity: This Pokemon gains +2 resistances to poison.Snow Cloak: This Pokemon takes no damage from dodging.Marvel Scale: This Pokemon's base defense doubles when below 50% motivation.Multiscale: The first charge move that hits this Pokemon in a single battle does 50% damage.Super Luck: While this Pokemon is buddied, the chances of finding or hatching a shiny are doubled. (Niantic please give us all the shinies already goddamnit)Plus: If this Pokemon is in the same gym or party as one with Minus, its base attack is increased by 50%.Huge Power: This Pokemon's attack stat is doubled. (I for one accept our new Azumarill overlords)Sap Sipper: This Pokemon gains +2 resistances to grass.Speed Boost: This Pokemon's move animation time and energy gain are reduced by 75%.Prankster: This Pokemon attacks at far more erratic intervals when defending a gym.Telepathy: This Pokemon forces its allies to automatically dodge incoming charge attacks.Contrary: When this Pokemon's stats would be altered by any ability, the reverse occurs. (E.g. Intimidate actually raises this Pokemon's attack)Pickpocket: When spinning an enemy gym while this Pokemon is buddied, it pickpockets and additional item per the trainer's gym badge level.Honey Gather: While buddied, this Pokemon has a 10% chance to find honey from a Pokestop. 5 Honey and 5 of each berry can be combined to make 1 incense.Magma Armor: This Pokemon gains +1 resistance to ice.Moody: After winning a battle, this Pokemon goes into the next with one randomly chosen base stat raised by 20% and another lowered by 10%.Sand Stream: This Pokemon's rock, ground, and steel type moves have their damage raised by 20%.Pixilate: This Pokemon's normal type moves become fairy type.Poison Heal: If this Pokemon shares a gym with a poison type, its motivation actually increases over time. Stays static at full, decreases once Pokemon has been in long enough to collect daily coins.Truant: This Pokemon's move animation time is doubled, but so is its energy gain.Wonder Guard: This Pokemon takes no damage from dodging.Normalize: All of this Pokemon's moves become normal type.Stall: This Pokemon does not lose motivation over time until it collects all daily coins possible.Heavy Metal: This Pokemon's steel type moves have tripled damage but doubled animation time.Pure Power: This Pokemon's attack stat is doubled.Minus: If this Pokemon is in the same gym or party as a Pokemon with Plus, its base defense is increased by 50%.Rough Skin: Damaging this Pokemon triggers damage equivalent to a Bite from this Pokemon.Strong Jaw: This Pokemon's moves Bite, Crunch, and any move with "Fang" in the name have their damage increased by 20%.Simple: This Pokemon loses all motivation after just one gym battle.Solid Rock: This Pokemon only takes 15% increased damage from super effective moves.White Smoke: This Pokemon takes no damage from dodging.Toxic Boost: If this Pokemon shares a gym with a poison type Pokemon, its base attack is increased by 50%.Suction Cups: This Pokemon latches on to opponents, preventing them from switching out.Storm Drain: This Pokemon gains +2 resistances to water.Forecast: This Pokemon (Basically just Castform) changes form based on your phone's weather app. If you don't allow PoGo access to your weather app, Castform remains normal type.Color Change: This Pokemon changes into the type that would take the least damage from its opponent, then remains that type until it switches out.Protean: This Pokemon changes into the type of move it uses every time it uses a move.Refrigerate: All of this Pokemon's normal type moves become ice type.Air Lock: This Pokemon negates the effects of Drizzle, Snow Warning, Drought, or Sand Stream and any abilities affected by those four. via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2y5z2Oi
