"New Strategy for Potion Shortages and gym battling"

#PokemonGO: So I’m sure that most people have realised that potions have become a little thin on the ground (I analysed 26 stops at one stage yesterday and had two normal potions and a super from them with no revives). I know that raiding is still handing them out but the combination of reduced timers and hours has basically killed any chance of evening raids apart from soloing. But that’s a different complaint! One thing the combination of battling gyms (I would often take down over 5 full health gyms per day) and T3 solos has left me very short in the potion department. What I’ve started doing (apart from for blissey) is using the wild level 30 commons I catch (normally catch about 100 Pokemon per day) - evolve them up and use them battle gyms. Then if they get knocked out I just transfer them! I’ve found this saves on potions and also means I’m having some more interesting battles, trying to beat things with higher cp rather than smashing them with my champs or dragonites. It’s meant I have some new hero’s like my parasect with solar beam yesterday (beat 5 before going on to the professor) and the pigeot that’s really fast at dodging!Thought this could help some people that are now struggling in the gym system. As I said above blissey is still a nightmare (so my half health champs have to handle that) but a lot of others have quite common counters. Hope it helps via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2juQZT2
