"Pokemon GO Raid Battle for the NET"
#PokemonGO: Good day trainers.I’m coming to you here today because in a little over two weeks the FCC will be voting to repeal Net Neutrality. For those of you who don’t know this essentially means that ISPs are free to throttle content/sites/services and will be allowed to tell its customers “Sorry, but to see this load quicker you must pay an additional monthly fee.” Now apply that to PoGO. Instead of Error 26, you could be seeing the return of the spinning ball of death, you could be losing even more raid passes due to time outs induced by throttling. That sucks. Now some of you may think “Well then use a different ISP.” That’s not a realistic possibility for many people as these ISPs control large areas, and competition is hard pressed to flourish because of the influence of these ISPs. Some may be thinking that we can’t do anything because of the party control in congress, but that’s flawed thinking especially since there’s been recent republican support of Net Neutrality. You may also be thinking “Well, this is just a U.S. issue, why should I care over here in my non-U.S. country?” Despite current controversies in the United States, it is still often viewed as a country of freedoms and rights for all its citizens. With the repeal of NN, other countries may look at the U.S. as an example and say “If they American’s did it, why don’t we?”So, now that the importance of this issue has been explained, there are a few things you can do.http://ift.tt/W3YoYi Go there and you can fill out your name and e-mail and this will send an e-mail to congress. You could also fill out your number and then you’ll get a call to connect you to your congress members so you can leave a voice mail.Visit https://resistbot.io. This bot works through text or facebook to look up your people in congress and send them your message regarding net neutrality.Leave your personal story of why NN is important to you.Trainers, the fight is in your hands. Go out and battle for equality and pokemon. via /r/pokemongo http://ift.tt/2hUCLqx
