"So I noticed something rather "interesting" about the Mimikium Z sidequest (USUM Spoilers)"

I went back into the Abandoned Supermarket, Mimikyu urged me to follow him. I followed him back into the "non-existent" backroom. Where Mimikyu and a (illusion) Pikachu were waiting for me.This was a "Who do you choose?" test. I chose Mimikyu and he nuzzled me <3Then he left me the Z Crystal. When I came out, the guy who usually stands guard on the beach, was waiting for me, and congratulated me befriending Mimikyu, stating that they're shy, and just want to be loved as much as Pikachu and actually thanked me for spending the time to comfort it.But here's the thing... the guy disappeared via screen fadeout, instead of simply walking offscreen as most do.So it makes me wonder, if that guy may have actually been Mimikyu using an illusion to thank me personally?
