"Solo/Small Group Infographic Guides for Tiers 2, 3, and 4 Raids"

#PokemonGO: With ever growing raid fatigue and the unabated neglect of rural players, it is more important than ever for players to conduct solo or small group raids. For casual players especially, however, this slimmed-down effort requires tremendous trial-and-error, as they lack a quick and accurate reference for what they need to successfully complete the raid. To that end, I've compiled a series of raid guides to be used for quick references in such a situation, which you can find here:http://ift.tt/2zXShJb that's it! The guides should be fairly self-explanatory. For those interested in more details, feel free to read on. Anyone else, you should be good to go! Methodology:These guides were assembled primarily thanks to Pokebattler, drawing almost all of their information from the site. Each raid boss is shown with the top 8 non-legendary defenders for an unknown moveset from the boss. Recommended CP values were calculated assuming 10/10/10 IV attackers at Pokemon Level 20 (25 for a few noted attackers) for Tier 2 raids and at Pokemon Level 30 for Tier 3 and 4 raids. This set of IV values is intended to account for variation in the appraisal "quality" of a Pokemon since trainers are unlikely to have perfect 15/15/15 attackers. I decided to include CP values since that is often the number that players pay most attention to. The vast majority of other raid guides don't include recommended CP values, so I figured this would be a helpful inclusion for more casual players.Recommended number of trainers was simply fixed at 1 for all the Tier 2 raids and all but 2 of the Tier 3 raids (as it is very difficult to solo Flareon and practically impossible to solo Jolteon); the number of trainers recommended for Tier 4 raids was simply chosen to be 4 for bosses with double weaknesses and 5 for those without. This was an arbitrary choice, and does not reflect the true minimum number of people required for a Tier 4 raid. Nonetheless, I thought these to be appropriate values for the recommended trainer level of 32. The recommended number of trainers for each raid boss can theoretically be at least 1 fewer for most, if not all of the Tier 4 bosses. Exclusion of Legendaries:A possibly contentious choice, but I decided to exclude legendaries from (this iteration of) these guides. I figured those most in need of these guides - people who are unable to find large raid groups - would be less likely to have legendaries. Additionally, excluding legendaries allows for a larger diversity of Pokemon to be represented in these guides since legendaries often appear in the list of top counters. I may make additional guides that include legendaries in the future, if there's enough interest! Closing Remarks:Thanks for reading and I hope these guides are useful! I'd appreciate feedback as I'm sure they could use some refining, but I hope this is a decent first attempt. The shelf life of these guides may be limited if raid bosses one day rotate, but until then, I hope they serve their purpose! via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2gZrBEe
