"Why I love the final battle of USUM so much"

Alright, so the final battle of original Pokemon Sun and Moon had quickly became one of, if not my favorite, battle throughout the entire Pokemon series. First of all, you were fighting my man Kukui, and he had a great team highlighting so many of the great Pokemon from this generation. Secondly, although it was pretty easy to realize he would be the champion, walking into that room to see the empty throne only to be approached by the professor himself gave it that extra kick. Finally, the music was amazing, and it gave me a feeling of childish excitement that I hadn't gotten from Pokemon since my first game ever (which was Ruby, for anyone wondering). Now, coming into USUM, I played it a little bit differently than how I played Sun and Moon. In Sun and Moon, I planned out my team beforehand, making sure to pick all my favorite Alolan Pokemon and Forms (My originial team consisted of Decidueye, Wishiwashi, Pallosand, Minior, Alolan Sandslash, and Toxapex). Although I had planned to play USUM with about the same team, using about the the same strategy, I decided at the beginning that I had lost some of that sense of adventure by planning everything ahead. I ended up pretty much winging my team, and am actually very happy I did, because I ended up with a vastly different team than my Sun and Moon team, only keeping my starter the same (My USUM team was Decidueye, Malamar, Ampharos, Cinncino, Naganadel, and Butterfree). I managed to get a Pokemon from almost every generation onto this team, and even got a Pokemon completely new to USUM.So, when I finally arrived at the end of USUM and saw Kukui walk up those stairs, I thought it would end the same way, but I wasn't mad. I would get to experience this final battle with a whole new team, and a whole new perspective on my play-style as a whole. Boy, was I wrong. As Hau walked up behind him, it dawned on me that we had never had that final battle that he had promised. This battle now lies as my favorite single Pokemon I've ever had and will likely ever have within the singleplayer game. The music was a remix of the original champion music, mixed with Hau's battle theme to create the perfect backdrop for this final battle. His team had grown with him throughout the game, as had yours, and you were finally able to battle each other with your full potentials. This even topped the youthful excitement I had gotten from Papa Kukui at the end of the last game. Truly a great battle. If you want the links to the awesome music:Sun and Moon champion music: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KFuHp38ukycUltra Sun and Moon champion music: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IUaRU3xf_bs via /r/pokemon http://ift.tt/2AAw8oE
