"Does Groudon really have a place in the raid meta?"

#PokemonGO: I've been using Pokebattler to look at results to see how Groudon would perform in certain matchups. The preferable moveset for Groudon would be mud shot/earthquake as he's the best ground attacker in the game. And ground is super effective vs electric, rock, poison, fire, and steel.Let's look at how he performs at level 40 compared to other Pokemon in raids that have been popular in the past, popular presently, and should be popular in the future. Groudon1096.4sAs you can see, Groudon performs admirably in many of these matchups, but is also outclassed in the majority. He reigns supreme in matchups vs electric types and does very well vs fire types. There are currently no popular raids vs electric Pokemon, and it's unlikely we'll see Raikou again for awhile. Ninetales is the only current raid vs a fire type where his strength could be useful as he can come in under the 180s time limit vs certain movesets. But in matchups vs poison, steel, or rock, he's outclassed by more easily obtainable Pokemon. He also would seem to be useful against other ground types though with his solar beam charge move. I should also note that while TTW is most important, he is bulkier than most of his competitors and will stay in the fight for longer.Note: I don't know gen 3 very well or upcoming gens at all, so I don't know what future raids he might really shine in.TL;DR: Groudon is only truly king in electric type raids which we currently have none of significance. He's very good in fire type raids, but Ninetales is the only one at the moment of importance.
