"Niantic, let 2018 be the year of balancing and fixes."

#PokemonGO: Niantic, you have made incredible progress throughout 2017. Besides one and a half new generations, you also introduced, among many new features, reworked gyms, a raid system, AR+, weather, increased communication, and especially a plethora of real and in-game events like the Safari Zones. Pokemon Go has changed immensely for the better compared to last year's end, and I applaud your team for such improvements when you could have instead chosen a path of greed and monetization that developers like Kabam and EA have. However, there are still many issues that plague the playerbase. Spoofers and botters still run rampant, the EX Raid system is heavily flawed, and rural areas continue to cry for the spawns and features they need.2017 was a year of development. The state of the game right now is a massive improvement from last year's end. I ask Niantic to focus at least the first half of 2018 on improving the features we already have, including game balancing, improving raids, rethinking the EX system, hiring coordinators and community directors to properly execute new features and events, and if possible, and, if possible, fighting the cheaters in our community.Let 2018 be a year of improvement. Thank you.Edit: This got quite the attention here! To clarify, by "balancing and fixes" I imply changing or introducing features to improve existing ones, not just bug fixes. It would be something like the Gym rework where such changes get counted as new features of some sort. Chances are Niantic will introduce new features and QOL updates as well (alongside the rest of Gen III) but I, and quite a couple of you, want game balancing to be a top priority. via /r/pokemongo http://ift.tt/2BUpffR
