"What candies should I save? List of 4th gen evolutions of previous gen Pokemon."

#PokemonGO: Hi, today someone was talking on my local raid group and decided to go farm Sneasel to get enough candies to have a Weavile when 4th gen arrives. Many people asked what other currently available Pokemon get an evolution in gen 4 (a gen that is known for having a lot of evolutions / pre evolutions of previous Pokemon), so I decided to write a list, and while doing this, writing a little analysis about their possibly place too.Obviously, this is all speculative because movesets are what make a good attacker and we don't know what moves these Pokemon will get on gen 4. But, at least, I discarded moves that they CAN'T learn.I didn't run any combat simulation.Sorry for any language mistake, non native speaker here. Please, let me know if anything is wrong (Pokemon or language related :P)Dex N°PokemonTypePreevoGen preevoMax CPAtkDefSta407RoseradeGrass/PoisonRoselia3rd gen2783243206120424AmbipomNormalAipom2nd gen2218205143150429MismagiusGhostMisdreavus2nd gen2465211211120430HonchkrowDark/FlyingMurkrow2nd gen2566243103200461WeavileDark/IceSneasel2nd gen2815243182140462MagnezoneElectric/SteelMagneton1st gen2996238217140463LickilickyNormalLickitung1st gen2359161181220464RhyperiorGround/RockRhydon1st gen3869241224230465TangrowthGrassTangela1st gen3110207219200466ElectivireElectricElectabuzz1st gen2904249173150467MagmortarFireMagmar1st gen2980247186150468TogekissFaery/FlyingTogetic2nd gen3171225227170469YanmegaBug/FlyingYanma2nd gen2873231172172470LeafeonGrassEevee1st gen2849216254130471GlaceonIceEevee1st gen2866238212130472GliscorGround/FlyingGligar2nd gen2602185248150473MamoswineIce/GroundPiloswine2nd gen3289247157220474Porygon-ZNormalPorygon 22nd gen3072264153170475GalladePsychic/FightingKirlia3rd gen2964237220136476ProbopassRock/SteelNosepass3rd gen (unreleased)1863135278120477DusknoirGhostDusclops3rd gen204618025490478FroslassIce/GhostSnorunt3rd gen (unreleased)1857171150140Grass: Roserade, Tangrowth, LeafeonRoserade will be similar to the 3rd gen grass glass cannon (Breloom), but with a tiny bit more attack and ~50 more defense. Roserade will have 10 more attack but less bulk than Exeggutor.Roselia seems to be pretty common on sunny weather / residential biome, so let's save your best Roselia because they can be a good attacker on future (Roserade can learn all the good grass movements, so let´s wait for it).Tangrowth is a bit bulkier than Exeggutor, but with 25 less attack. Maybe it can put similar damage output with the same moveset, I didn't try any simulation.Leafeon has a high defense but low stamina and ~15 less attack than Exeggutor.Normal: Porygon-ZIt's stats are almost the same that Ursaring, but 30 more attack. Depend on moveset, it can be a niche attacker (having just a bit more attack than Zapdos/Raikou), but I can't imagine a situation where Porygon-Z is the best option.Ghost: MismagiusMismagius will have the same Atk and Sta than Banette, but a lot more defense. With the same moveset, they will be almost equals (both outclassed by Gengar).Flying: HonchkrowAs a dark attacker, it's similar to Absol, but with more bulk (both outclassed by Tyranitar) But as a flying attacker, it could be the best if it has a double flying moveset (maybe only after Hurricane Dragonite).Ice: Mamoswine, Weavile, GlaceonIf Mamoswine gets Ice attacks, it will be the best Ice attacker (by stats) until the legendary Kyurem (gen 5). AND it can be the best ground attacker, too (after Groundon). Weavile and Glaceon will be right after Mamoswine, with almost the same attack but much less bulk. It depends on moveset, but both can outclass every Ice Pokemon currently available (attacking, at least)Electric: Electivire, MagnezoneBoth have almost the same stats, and both are a bit worse than Zapdos/Raikou, they will be like another Jolteon. Steel is not a strong attacker type, but even then Magnezone is outclassed by MetagrossGround: Rhyperior, MamoswineWell, if Rhydon is good, then Rhyperior is just better. It has +20 to every stat compared with its preevolution, so depending on moveset it can be the best ground and/or rock attacker on the game (we don't know if Groudon will be nerfed, but if not, he will be the best ground attacker). Mamoswine follows Rhyperior with a bit more attack but less bulk as a ground attacker (IF he gets ground attacks, of course)Fire: MagmortarMagmortar will be in between Flareon and Moltres... same attack that those 2, and bulk in between them. Nothing new to the table.Fairy: TogekissA bit less attack than Gardevoir but more stamina. Withouth a fairy fast attack ingame, then probably won't have a place in the meta.Bug: YanmegaIt is like a bulkier version of Scizor/Pinsir. If it could get the same bug moveset, it will outclass them by a bit in damage output, but Yanmega can't learn X-Scissor, so its only options are Bug Buzz and Signal Beam. Being Bug/Flying, it gets double resistance to Grass, Ground and Fighting. Probably it will have its place, but others can do the same.Fighting: GalladeIt's stats are pretty similar to Blaziken, Machamp and Heracross... but it's dual psychic typing really doesn't help him (and it can hinder his survivability against Tyranitar, for example). And as psychic attacker, Gardevoir has better typing for the same stats (and you can't really compete against Mewtwo or even Alakazam)Dex fillers: Ambipom, Lickilicky, Gliscor, Probopass, Froslass, DusknoirNo really good stats and/or typing.TL;DR:Mamoswine and Rhyperior, if they get a decent moveset, will be among the best. Roserade, Honchkrow and Yanmega can have a place in meta. Most of the others can be good/viable options, but most of the time are outclassed by someone.Bonus: Pre evolutionsDex N°PokemonEvolution406BudewRoselia433ChinglingChimecho438BonslySodowoodo439Mime Jr.Mr. Mime440HappinyChansey446MunchlaxSnorlax458MantykeMantine via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2jwpwRp
