"Anyone else wish Gamefreak would make a Pokemon game that isn't a "new generation" or a "remake"?"

All core Pokemon games (with the exception of B2W2) to date have either been:A. A new generationB. A remake of an old generationI believe that now is a better time than any to start making games more akin to B2W2.Imagine, for example, a theoretical "Pokemon Crimson" & "Pokemon Cobalt". It would be a new set of Pokemon games that take place in the Kanto region, but rather than being remakes of Red and Blue, they would be more like successors. They could be set multiple years after the events of R/B/FR/LG, featuring a new protagonist and a new story. Changes to the Kanto map could keep things fresh while familiar. Keep some Gym original gym leaders, add some new ones, have the adventure start in a town other than Pallet. I think Pokemon games like this could have a lot of potential.5 core Pokemon games take place in the Hoenn region. Despite that, they all feature the same main characters and overall same story, with minor changes based on the version. Why not make a new Pokemon game in Hoenn that isn't a remake or rehash?I know a lot of us want DP remakes, but why not spiritual successors?I think this would not only be fresh, but practical. We have almost 1000 Pokemon in existence. Why rush out new generations every couple years?
