"Tearjerking Moment: After 3 and a half years, reunited with all my old Pokemon"

As weird as it is to say. This is legitimately a tearjerking moment for me lol. So some backstory. I lost this cartridge (Pokemon Y) 3 and a half years ago. No matter how much I looked for it, no matter how many times I tried I could never find it anywhere. I was convinced someone stole it or it got lost somewhere since I tended to travel by public transportation a lot back then and it would never be found again if that was the case. This cartridge held everything. And I mean EVERYTHING. Years of collecting since I first started playing Pokemon. All of my most precious and most prized Pokemon from every single Pokemon game up to Y was in this cartridge from 20+ shinies, every.single.Legendary thus far, gift/event Pokemon, POKERUS, and to boot I had every single Pokemon ever in this game. All 718 because I made sure to keep all pre evolutions, mid evolutions, finals, and branches so that in the next game I could just transfer them to easily fill up my dex. Every now and then since I knew I lost it I would continue to look in spots hoping to come across it to no avail because whenever I was reminded of Pokemon I could just never get it out of my head. It was like a nagging itch. Honestly, I almost gave up on ever playing Pokemon altogether ever again after losing this. Over a decade of culminating my collection only to have it all lost. I was devastated and felt like there was practically no more reason to try, or play for that matter, anymore. But I didn’t. I decided what good would it be to just quit a franchise I loved. And so I kept going with Pokemon Moon and Ultra Moon. As a matter of fact, because of this incident I got both Moon and Ultra Moon digitally through the eShop so I would never lose another one like this again. And here it is back in my hands. My mom had found it wedged in her really old, dusty car inside an old plastic bag filled with a bunch of junk. My mom has cleaned that car countless times so Im not sure how she missed the bag and she wasn’t sure how she did either. But she said when she looked in it she saw some stuff that looked like they would belong to me and contacted me, and boy am I glad she did.
