"Why doesn't a large CP difference in gym battles send to zero the motivation of a weak enemy pokemon after only one defeat?"

#PokemonGO: I found an enemy gym (at a train station where I was waiting) with just a 18 CP Torchick. It took me three battles to take it down, because the motivation wouldn't immediately go to zero, despite using pokemons with at least 100 times the CP.I think it doesn't make sense, a defeat from a much more powerful pokemon (basically a one-move battle) should drop the motivation to zero.Btw, when I finally cleared the gym, my train had left, and was too far away to place my pokemon. via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2lQeVhn
