"Did you ever have a battle where you were able to win, despite losing initially?"

Picture this, you're in a battle that is not going in your favor. Whether it be maximum/minimum damage roll, the shaky accuracy from Focus Blast, PTSD from Serene Grace Air Slash/Iron Head flinches, paralysis, misplays, we've all been through those crucial moments where we lose hope after most of the team has fallen. Somehow, out of the blue, you're able to turn the tables and clinch victory, even though it was against all odds. One of my favorites was this battle. It was on Pokemon Showdown and I was playing VGC 2018 (I posted this on the Pokemon Showdown Subreddit awhile back), and I came across a team of Mega Mawile, Aegislash, Ferrothorn, Milotic, Volcarona, and Landorus (opponent chose the first four listed). I had Charizard Y, Zapdos, Aegislash, Tyranitar, Tapu Bulu, and Tapu Fini (again, I picked the first four). Anyways from Team Preview, I knew that Charizard Y and Zapdos would do exceptionally well against this guy's team due to the three steel types and Solarbeam being effective against Milotic. Zapdos would have great Tailwind support and get boosted power from Heat Wave.He starts with Aegislash and Mawile, so it's already a good start for my Zard and Zapdos... unfortunately, the Mega Mawile scores a critical hit on the second turn of the battle, knocking out my Zard Y (I went for Protect on Zard Y to scout out my opponent's move first turn and didn't get a hit off). A few turns later, my Zapdos goes down to a Critical Hit from his Aegislash (though I did snipe his Milotic switch with a Thunderbolt and finished Mawile with a Sun boosted Heat Wave the turn prior). Eventually, it is down to my Tyranitar and Aegislash, versus his Aegislash and Ferrothorn. At this point, his Aegislash was weakened by my Zapdos' Heat Wave before it went down to the Crit Shadow Ball. What do you know, after weakening the Ferrothorn with a Choice Banded Low Kick, his Ferrothorn hits the Power Whip (a move with 85% accuracy, still quite shaky imo) and scores his third critical hit of the game. At this point, I was trying to restrain myself from hitting my computer screen. Luckily, I was able to come back and win with my Aegislash through some well-timed out moves (Power Whip when I King Shielded, Z-move from opposing Aegislash also weakened due to King Shield, activating my Weakness Policy). Looking back at it, I calculated the damage and found that all three Critical hits mattered, albeit, the one from Ferrothorn was a close one.So here is my experience of coming back from a difficult battle. What were some of your favorite and epic comeback moments? via /r/pokemon http://ift.tt/2GGgYhk
