"How we can fix the ice type, defensively."

Alright defensive ice types suck, that is pretty much fact. My idea is how about we make them not suck, by making it so that fighting only resists them instead of doing 2x damage to them as most monks who train way up on the mountains tend to resist the cold, not break giant ice blocks. Now let's add some resistances to grass, flying, and dragon/ground. Grass and flying would make sense but it wouldn't exactly help it out defensively too much outside of tanking brave birds, hence why the dragon or ground resistance could help it out so much. I'm more leaning towards ground because if the ice type can tank EQ then more defensive ones will become way more common, and also because fairy already exists for being a tank to dragons. via /r/pokemon http://ift.tt/2Eje4St
