"Lets talk about Shiny-Spawnpoints"

#PokemonGO: Hello everyone, some months ago was a discussion about Spawnpoints that have a higher chance/ the only chance to create shiny Pokemon. Mostly about the mother of all shinies: the mighty magikarp.During the community-day yesterday my wife noticed that the third shiny she caught, was on the same spawnpoint as the one before. After she said it, we (group of 6) had an eye on this spawnpoint and clicked this dratini as soon as it spawned. Most of the time, after someone saw that the current one is a shiny, 2 to 3 of the other had the same shiny as well. If you need proof, i have some videos on my iPhone.EDIT: This are just the exact information i know about. The other 4 Players have also had Shinies at the same time and the same Spot!! Currently collection their information for a better overview how many we caught at this spot. I am pretty sure that 6 out of mine 8 Shiny Dratinis had been there.me12:40 - shiny12:43 - non shiny12:46 - shiny13:13 - shinyWife12:40 - ??12:43 - shiny12:46 - shiny13:13 - shinyI see two possible ways Niantic may generate shinies:1: Only some Spawnpoints have the chance to generate one. The Server check this and calculate if it is a shiny for you or not. They have the same chance as others. So just a true/false value is stored in the Database for every Spawnpoint.2: (Almost) every Spawnpoint may generate one, but they have different initial shiny values. During an event like on community-day these values will be multiplied by the event-value. i.e.: initial-value = 0.01 event-mulitiplier = 30 This would result in a shiny-value of 0.30 during the community-event, so every third dratini/spawn would be a shiny on this spawnpiont. Normally every 100th Pokemon (if shiny-skin is available) would be one.So what is your opinion on this?Did you see the same during the event?Do you think this is just part of the normal RNG ? - I don't think so.EDIT: Ya I know that random is random, because random is random. But please keep in mind that this is not someone who really rolls a dice for every encounter you start. PoGo uses some kind of randomization. For this they need some filling information to do this. I don't want to discuss how randomization work. But currently we don't know if all Shinies do have the same chance at every Spawnpoint. This is something we just noticed (and many others at other spots too) so there is a chance that there is something. Please do the calculation of the chance that 2 players do have 3 shinie at the same spot at the same time: 1:24 * 1:24 * 1:24 = 0,0072337 %. This calculation do not include the other players of our Group! via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2ow1mVG
