"Shuckle: The Hypothetical Impossible Tier 3 Solo"

#PokemonGO: With the changes to raid bosses recently, I'd been thinking about what Pokemon would make a good raid boss. I realized that because raids simply boost the HP of a pokemon, Shuckle's game-leading defense but horrible stamina, it would benefit tremendously from being a raid boss.I looked into the math of this and currently, it would be impossible to solo a Shuckle as a Tier 3 raid boss. With 3000 HP in 180 seconds, a player would need to be dealing nearly 17 damage per second, not including the time taken by any lag or interruption to battle. This wouldn't sound like much if Shuckle weren't a literal rock with 396 Defense. Surprisingly, none of the best pokemon currently in the game live up to the task.The obvious choice is Kyogre. With Waterfall and Hydro Pump, a level 40 Kyogre in the rain with a 15 attack IV would deal a whopping... 13.8 dps. At this rate, Shuckle would be smiling at the end of the battle with 17% of its health left, indifferently holding back the king of the sea that makes all other water pokemon look like a Magikarp hopelessly flopping about a puddle.TLDR: It would be impossible to solo Shuckle as a Tier 3 Raid Boss. via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2Ck8D3Y
