"What If: create an S2 cell database for Spawn Points, Weather, ExRaid eligibility, etc."
#PokemonGO: The fabulous people at TSR have made us a user-inputted Nest map. I am wondering what kind of undertaking it would be to create a new database of S2 cells for various purposes.Level 20 - Spawn Points: Each spawn point is one Level 20 cell. We would want to use this information for mapping rare spawns so that we can come back to this location at a given time to collect. L20 Cell IDs are numbered in HEX as:872b6c07acdWe would most likely want to track rare spawns on this kind of database, and be able to track information such as:* Pokemon Spawned (Pokemon Number)* Time of Spawn (Unix Time Stamp)* Spawn Type: Rare, Common, Nest, Weather BoostedWe could then build a database of known rare spawn points, or at least start collecting more information as to how rare spawns are decided upon at a per-cell level.Level 10: Weather Areas - This would be quite simple, but per level 10 id, we could download the Accuweather information at 00:00 each day so that we could have a map and query-able (maybe a PokeWeather app that resides in your upper status bar?) database of the current PoGo weather conditions.Level 12/13 (do we have a definitive on this yet?) - ExRaid eligibility: Pretty straight forward, mapping out gyms that are likely to be included for ExRaids. Then, we put all this together to have a TSR "Nest" like page or app for us all to use for predictions. I wish I knew more about SQL, and programming, maybe even some Geographical Information Systems (GIS) stuff, because then I'd take this on my own. For now, its an idea.
