"Lack of maps has caused lack of EX Raids"

#PokemonGO: I'll remove my venting to make the TSR mods all happy.I am sure the community I am apart of is far from alone in not getting EX Raid Passes over the last month. We have been immensely struggling without the aid of a third party map service. We have attempted to call out raids at EX and non-EX locations as best as we can, but we cannot ever replicate the power and usefulness of maps. We struggle to get the numbers.With any luck, Niantic will read this thread and actually, finally, make an Ingress like portal map that players can use to track raids in their area. As it stands, the game simply lacks any simple way to do this.While I fully support Niantic's recent attacks on maps and spoofers, I cannot support the fact that they have not made use of this golden opportunity and implemented something of their own to hinder map use.Things that should be discussed here:1) What mechanics can be put in place (if not an Ingress Portal Map type thing) to make locating raids easier?2) Should there be some kind of tracker to see if a gym is close to being eligible for an EX Raid?3) Should Niantic tweek their triggering protocol for EX raids a bit?There :) Better now? via /r/TheSilphRoad https://ift.tt/2HkX1N6
