#PokemonGO: Hi there. I was a daily player for 14 months, from Sep '16 to Nov' 17. For most of that time I was pretty devoted, playing as much as. My work and family commitments allowed, reading stuff here everyday and watching a couple of YouTube channels on a daily basis.But gradually the way it killed my phone's battery, what I felt was the lack of anything new to do, the grind of organising raid parties, and irritation at the double whammy of the Ex-Raid system and the very low catch rates for the Legendary Beasts conspired to make me lose interest and stop playing. It was right at the start of the week that Entei first came to Asia/Australia that I stopped.Since then, I logged in once or twice - briefly when the first gen 3s were released, and the week where they swapped around Regionals for instance, but really didn't miss it.So logged in on the weekend on a whim and there's daily quests. A chance to earn Mew via dedicated work as a solo player! Professor Willow apparently isn't dead! And I played for 2 hours non stop on Sunday and whereas when I quit my (quite new, top of the line) phone would get burning hot and use 10% of its battery in 30 mins, after 2 hours it was normal temperature and had used about 12%.After putting up with a year where events were really spaced out and were it felt we were being increasingly pushed in one solitary direction on how to play, with a buggy app that destroyed phone batteries, I'm really impressed with how much the game seems to have improved in the last 4-5 months. via /r/TheSilphRoad https://ift.tt/2qgT1H2
