"Finally a good use of Field Research during events!"

#PokemonGO: Niantic finally understood how Event Field Research should be. What they did is just genius and I really hope there will be more like this in the future.I'm talking about Aerodactyl quest (Evolve Omanyte or Kabuto). This quest has high chance to give shiny Aerodactyl (probably the same as shiny Ho-Oh from raids, maybe 1/25) but unlikely raid bosses, this can be done without spending money in raid passes. Also, to do this quest you'll need Omanyte and Kabuto candies, which are very common during the event and they can also be shiny. So everything you catch can be useful to get those candies so you can reinvest them in Aerodactyl quest. Also, the event lasts for 2 weeks. That's plenty of time to get your pink Pterodactyl. We got organized and made a real time map (which updates automatically with every report) for Aerodactyl quests across our city.We manage to do 20/30 quests everyday, this means if you can keep the rythm you can easily do 150+ during the events, which is basically a 99% chance to get a shiny.I really hope they'll use the same format for the next events. This system incentives organization, communication, exploration and also catching as many of events Pokèmon as possible, not only shiny checking them.In addition, they also put Aerodactyl from raids, so if people want to go hardcore outside completing quests, there's also that.Thank you Niantic, I'm having a lot of fun during this event! via /r/TheSilphRoad https://ift.tt/2xjy6ce
