"What if Niantic gave us ‘Secret Bases’ as a late Gen III addition?"

#PokemonGO: For those that don’t know, look up secret bases from Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald.I think this could be an amazing new social aspect to the game. People could set up a Secret base, that only they (perhaps even allowed friends from within the game) could see in the map.This could then be fitted out with random furniture etc, that is slowly collected over time from pokestops/research, as well as some functional items too, for instance something that yields 1 item every 6 hours.As suggested by a friend who plays ingress, could even house storage for excess items, rather then just tossing them (all those lucky eggs / TMs that I can’t bring myself to throw out)This could be the perfect place to introduce IV training, even PvP & Trading, or anything else really.It does go a bit against Niantics “make people move all the time” ideas, but as a way of introducing in game friends to the game... this could be really cool. via /r/TheSilphRoad https://ift.tt/2jrOgXh
