"The very best Pokémon of each type across all generations! (Discussion)"

#PokemonGO: Hello travellers,I would love to start a discussion about which Pokémon are the best for their respective type across all generations. Why is this a matter that is worth discussing? Well, knowing which Pokémon are overpowered will help each and every one of us to focus our limited resources e.g. raid passes and spare time on the right events/raids.I tried to find an answer to this issue myself, by consulting the Excel spreadsheet in this thread:https://ift.tt/2t0bQi0 to /u/SokaDrake for doing a great job with this spreadsheet. What I did was sorting the Sheet by DPS/TDO and Overall performance and then comparing the Top 3 DPS/TDO and Overall-wise.So this is what I came up with:BUG: Volcarona // Gen:5 / Rarity: NormalDARK: Yveltal // Gen: 6 / Rarity: LegendaryDRAGON: ???ELECTRIC: Zekrom // Gen: 5 / Rarity: LegendaryFAIRY: Tapu Lele // Gen: 7 / Rarity: LegendaryFIGHTING: Conkeldurr(Buzzwole*) // Gen: 5 / Rarity:NormalFIRE: Reshiram // Gen: 5 / Rarity: LegendaryFLYING: ???GHOST: Lunala // Gen: 7 / Rarity: LegendaryGRASS: Tangrowth (Kartana*) // Gen: 4 / Rarity: NormalGROUND: Groudon // Gen: 3 / Rarity: LegendaryICE: Mamoswine // Gen: 4 / Rarity: NormalNORMAL: ???POISON: Alolan Muk (Nihilego*) // Gen: 7 / Rarity: NormalPSYCHIC: Solagaleo/Mewtwo // Gen: 7/1 / Rarity: LegendaryROCK: Rhyperior // Gen: 4 / Rarity: NormalSTEEL: Dialga // Gen: 4 / Rarity: LegendaryWATER: Kyogre // Gen: 3 / Rarity: Legendary*Buzzwole/Kartana/Nihilego are Ultra Beasts, and we don't really know how they will be implemented, that is why I paranthesised them. Also, please keep in mind that the Pokémon that are not released yet highly depend on the moves they are given. So we can't say how useful future Pokémon will be.There are some lessons to be learned from this:Do as many Kyogre raids as you possibly can, since Kyogre is the best Water type in DPS and TDO across all generations, plus he gets even better with his primal form.Groudon is neither the best in DPS or TDO for Ground type Pokémon, but Overall he is the best Ground type Pokémon, so get as many as you can as soon as he returns as Raid Boss.Tangrowth is a very robust Pokemon with the best Grass type TDO and very decent DPS, so get out there and finish those Tangela quests.Mamoswine is a very powerful Ice type Pokémon so prepare by catching each and every Swinub you can find. And then there are some questions that I was asking myself when studying the spreadsheet..Tyranitar with Smackdown/Stone Edge is very powerful, but will it be outclassed by Rhyperior? If Rhyperior gets the right moves that is...I am not too sure about the best Dragon/Flying/Normal type Pokémon since there is a huge spread between the Top DPS and Top TDO Pokemon.I would really like to hear your opinion on this matter. What is the very best Pokémon of each type?PS: Once we got a consensus about the very best (or two) Pokémon for each type, It would be nice if someone could create a more aesthetically pleasing info sheet. via /r/TheSilphRoad https://ift.tt/2sUHJtb
