"Bottle Caps would be an excellent addition to the game and would lessen the importance of getting lucky with IV's."

#PokemonGO: For those who don't know, Bottle Caps are an item from the main series games that were introduced in gen 7.They allow you to increase a pokemons IVs!https://ift.tt/2LgiZHf these as a drop to raids and gifts from best friends would be a great way to allow people to strengthen their favourite mons or legendaries they have that are lackluster (I for one would make my starter have perfect IV's!)I feel this is a better solution than having gyms increase a pokemon stats(would cause strong players to get stronger and would almost guarantee newer players have a harder time staying in a gym). This would motivate more players to take part in more raids even if they maybe do not want the pokemon (cough cough REGIS cough).Silver caps should have a 3% drop rate (or slightly rarer than TM's) and should max 1 unmaxed IV at random. Gold caps should be much rarer, at 1% ish, and would max all 3IV's. They could be in gifts as well at 0.2% (the same as evolution items).I think this would be a great solution to peoples pains with the RNG aspect of IV's.EDIT: I've read through this thread, there are some great points on both sides. Them only working on LV 40 pokemon is a cool idea, since that is how they work in the games (which is something I foolishly believed was common knowledge >.>), as is them rerolling smaller amounts of stats. I also like the idea (sort of) of an item that rerolled all IV's (maybe gold bottle caps could be guaranteed to roll the stats upwards?).I disagree with people who think they should cost £10+ upwards in the store tho thats just silly. via /r/TheSilphRoad https://ift.tt/2zWLnsB
