"Doed anyone else really wish there was a more adult Pokemon TV show?"

Lets get this out of the way: When I say adult I don't mean hot ditto on Mon action.A series that's more Avatar: The Last Airbender than what it currently is or has been. The premises would be something like this:Starting in Pallet town, Red, a quite and introverted kid just found out his dad is dead, and is struggling to keep his faimly going. The world just got out of a deadly major war, the adult population is decimated, and wild Pokemon everywhere are a side effect from the war.Wild Pokemon will bond quickly with children, but can react violently to some adults. The Oak Institute pays 3 selected children to make their way to the Pokemon Leauge, to test out the capabilities of these new creatures that have spread all over Kanto and beyond. But because Red can barley find enough food to keep his mother and sick brother from dying, he couldn't afford the exam fee. But, Red ends up saving Proffs Oaks wife from a wild Primeape, and Oak rewards him to be the 4th sent from Pallet town. Oak then gives him a new species of electrical Pokemon to protect him along the way, Pikachu. To help his family, Red agrees to take on the challenge and explore the world. His goal is to qualify for the Pokemon Leauge by defeating city Challenges (gyms) and to try to win the Leauge. He is also tasksed to record as many Pokemon he in counters, which he gets paid for the more he finds (which he sends to him faimly).Red faces hunger, cold, and injury. Unlike the anime, he grows and ages over his 5 years quest. His Pokemon grown, evolve, and take care of each other and Red.He meets up with other trainers along the way that join him for a while. But he is ultimately on his own in this new harsh and wild world that war has created. via /r/pokemon https://ift.tt/2LVh0V3
