"Go Plus becoming redundant as shiny count increases"

#PokemonGO: I'd love to be farming mons/stardust with my Go Plus during events like this but as the number of potential shinies has shot up i'm scared to do it in case one gets away having only been pokeballed. It's high time they let us choose which balls the Go Plus uses and maybe a berry pre-set as well.
